Red Dot Campaign and BNF are joining forces to give back by making meals for NY Common Pantry – a food pantry in East Harlem dedicated to reducing hunger throughout NYC – and collecting winter clothes for Trinity Place Shelter – a non-sectarian, 10-bed transitional shelter that provides LGBTQ youth and young adults with a safe place to sleep, shower, eat and store belongings.
Day one will serve as the main donation drive for the weekend. Due to limited storage space at Trinity Place Shelter, we can only accept new socks, new winter hats, gloves and scarves; gently used winter coats, and clean blankets/comforters. We won't be accepting any other clothing donations than the above listed.
We will also accept non-perishable food items like apple sauce, canned beans, canned protein (chicken, tuna, SPAM…), crackers, canned or dried fruit, granola bars, nuts, pasta, peanut butter, rice, soup, cereal.
